Sony in the past few minutes during their conference at GDC have confirmed the name of their future motion controller, as “Playstation Move”.
The Playstation Move is slated for release this fall in a bundle which contains the Playstation Move, Playstation Eye and a game for “under $100″.
Sony also announced a sub controller which will act much like the nunchuck addon for the Nintendo Wii, allowing analog movement on a second controller, the sub controller however does not contain the glowing ball of the Playstation Move.
Thus far there are a wide range of developers currently supporting the hardware and we’ve been assured that the development for the controller is very easy.

Oops. Over the weekend, it seems as if 300 or so unlucky individuals were shipped a counterfeit processor from the normally reliable warehouses at NewEgg, and Hard|OCP has the images (and video) to prove it. Vincent Waller couldn’t have possibly been more eager to receive the Core i7-920 that he had ordered, but upon unboxing it, he realized that he had received a well-disguised fake.
After a fair bit of digging, it seems as if one of NewEgg’s “long time partners” (D&H Distributing) got ahold of 300 fakes in a batch of 2,000, though not everyone’s buying the “it was an honest mistake” line — especially when you consider that said company has already issued cease-and-desist letters to the sites who published the news. At any rate, NewEgg has already arranged for an authentic CPU to be rushed to Mr. Waller, and it’s purportedly working around the clock in order to make things right with any other negatively affected customers. Hop on past the break for a look at the knockoff, particularly if you just took delivery of a shiny new Core i7.

At a recent event in which Bizarre Creations revealed more details of their upcoming racing game, Blur, the developers detailed some new features that would allow for cross-platform support. Players will be able to issue “challenges” to other players via the integrated Twitter componenet. This not only allows for cross-platform support but also allow users with Xbox Live Silver accounts to accept and issue challenges to their friends, regardless of Xbox Live membership or console.
However you will still be required to have a Xbox Live Gold account if you would want to play simultaneous head-to-head games against your friends online and won’t be able to do so across platforms. Blur is the latest creation from PGR creator, Bizarre Creations, and features arcade-style play and Mario Kart-style powerups. A closed beta will begin on March 8th with various sites giving away “tokens” granting entry into the beta.
Blur will be released on May 25th in the US and May 28th in the UK.

In light of recent news that EO3/SQ3 will feature a secondary color set for all its playable characters, we imagined how fun it would be if you could completely customize your character. And so, we’ve set about turning that idea into a reality.
We would like to share with you the beta version of our EO3 Character Editor.
This version currently allows you to edit the colors of the default female princess in any way you like, with optional shadow, outline, and backgrounds. With sufficient feedback and enthusiasm, however, it is likely that we will upgrade the editor to allow editing of all characters. Enjoy, and let us know what you think!
